A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtualized server that gives you dedicated resources including CPU, RAM, and NVMe storage. Hostodo uses KVM virtualization to provide full hardware isolation, meaning your resources are never shared. You get full root access to install any software, run any operating system, and configure the server exactly as you need.
Sign up at console.hostodo.com, choose a plan and datacenter location, complete payment, and your instance will be deployed in under 60 seconds. You will receive your root credentials and can immediately start using your server. You can also deploy instances using the Hostodo CLI.
We offer 16+ OS templates including Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE, and Arch Linux. You can reinstall your instance with a different OS at any time through the control panel at no extra charge.
Yes. The Hostodo CLI lets you deploy, manage, and SSH into your instances directly from your terminal. Install it via Homebrew with brew install hostodo/tap/hostodo. It is available for macOS, Linux, and Windows. See the full CLI documentation for details.
We accept credit and debit cards via Stripe, PayPal, cryptocurrency payments via Cryptomus (including BTC, ETH, XRP, and many more), and AliPay. You can select your preferred payment method during checkout.
With annual billing you pay for 10 months and get 12 months of service -- that is two months completely free. Annual plans are the best value and are available for all NVMe KVM plans.
Yes. We offer a 3-day money-back guarantee on all plans, no questions asked. If you are not satisfied within the first 3 days of your purchase, contact our support team for a full refund.
KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) is a full hardware virtualization technology built into the Linux kernel. Unlike container-based solutions, KVM gives each instance its own dedicated kernel and fully isolated resources. This means you can run any operating system, use Docker natively, and enjoy guaranteed CPU, RAM, and disk performance with no noisy-neighbor issues.
Yes. Because we use KVM virtualization, Docker and other container technologies work flawlessly out of the box. KVM allows nested virtualization, so you have full flexibility to run containers, orchestration tools like Docker Compose and Kubernetes, and any other software that requires kernel-level access.
Yes. Hostodo instances are ideal for running Claude Code and other AI coding agents. You get a persistent Linux environment with full root access, NVMe storage for fast file operations, and dedicated resources that won't be interrupted. Run Claude Code in a tmux session so it persists across SSH disconnects. See our Claude Code use case page for recommended plans and setup instructions.
Our instances run on pure NVMe SSDs powered by AMD EPYC 7742 processors, delivering up to 450,000 read IOPS and 56,000 write IOPS. This is significantly faster than traditional SSD or HDD-based hosting. See our NVMe KVM VPS page for full plan details.
Yes. Every Hostodo instance comes with 1 dedicated IPv4 address and a /64 IPv6 subnet included at no additional cost. Both IPv4 and IPv6 are fully configured and ready to use from the moment your instance is deployed.
Hostodo operates three US datacenter locations:
Visit our Datacenters page for test IPs and download links.
Hostodo guarantees 99.9%+ uptime across all datacenter locations. All facilities feature redundant power with backup generators. You can monitor real-time and historical uptime at status.hostodo.com.
All Hostodo plans include a 1Gbps network port. You can test network performance from each datacenter using our looking glass servers at lv.hostodo.com, tpa.hostodo.com, and det01.hostodo.com.
You can manage your instances through the web console at console.hostodo.com or via the Hostodo CLI from your terminal. The console provides instance management, monitoring, OS reinstallation, VNC access, and more.
You can reset your root password through the Gen2 console at console.hostodo.com. Navigate to your instance and use the password reset option in the instance management panel.
You can cancel your service by opening a support ticket or through the billing portal. Cancellations are processed promptly and any applicable refunds under our 3-day money-back guarantee will be issued.
